Jaci Carroll Staffing is currently recruiting for a Superfinish Operator position for 2nd shift in the Waterbury area. The hours will be full-time, Monday through Friday from 3:30PM to 1:00AM, with a pay of $20.22/HR. This is a temp-to-hire position.

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To achieve defect-free mirror finish on all required customer product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

• Ensure all rolls are suitable for optical finish processes.

• Sets-up and process rolls and/or customer product as directed.

• Move controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during polishing processes.

• Inspects all finished work, report conditions including defects.

  
  

• Assists in maintaining inventory to keep department functional.

• Cleans work areas within department daily.

• Completes all required routine (daily/weekly) preventative maintenance of polishing department equipment as directed.

• Moves completed jobs to next step of process as designated on job ticket.

• Any task assigned by supervisor or management.

  
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Needs to use hands and feet to be able to put on Personal Protection Equipment including goggles, boots and gloves when needed.

• Needs to be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

• Regularly required to be on feet 80-90% of time.

• Regularly uses hand tools and heavy machinery requiring good hand-and-eye coordination, balance, and leg strength.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Mechanical and math aptitudes.

• Able to read Blueprints.

• Able to use measuring equipment, i.e., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.

• Organizational and housekeeping skills.
