Jaci Carroll Staffing is currently recruiting for a Solderer position in the area for 1st and 2nd shift, Monday through Friday. Pay is depending on experience. This is a temp-to-hire position.

 

Summary: Perform soldering tasks throughout the assembly process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Perform soldering tasks on electronic assemblies.

  • Works as a member of a team under the direction of the production supervisor/lead.

  • Capability and ability to maintain production rates and flows.

  • Functions under time pressure.

  • Gets along with co-workers.

  • Follow written instructions and manufacturing process.

  • Contributes to a positive, healthy, and safe work environment. Work in compliance with the company, OSHA, and SDS safety policies

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing soldering tasks.

  • Ability to work under a microscope with excellent hand-eye coordination.

  • Basic understanding of PCB assembly drawings (preferred).

  • Ability to interpret assembly instructions and follow them accurately.

  • Accepts change in a positive manner.

  • Component identification training is required.

  • Ability to read and apply work instructions.

Level Distinction:

I. Operator can perform simple soldering tasks under moderate supervision using assembly instructions with high accuracy and moderate speed, including:

  • Ability to work with soldering equipment safely and effectively.

  • Demonstrate ability to perform through hole and surface mount soldering.

  • Ability to perform visual inspections to identify solder defects, bridging, and other issues.

  • Demonstrate ability to perform wire tinning.

  • Education: Minimal industry experience is required.

  • IPC 610 Certification preferred.

  • J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
