Jaci Carroll Staffing is currently recruiting for a Plater position for 1st shift in the Waterbury area. The hours will be full-time, Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM, with a pay of $20.22/HR. This is a temp-to-hire position.

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To properly prepare and Chromium plate all required customer product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

• Maintains plating areas including tanks, solutions and process related equipment and tools.

• Operates plating equipment as necessary to plate customer product.

• Plates work as directed by Plating and 1st Shift Supervisor and Plating schedules.

• Assists coworkers with plating related work and that of general plant requirements.

• Inspects work prior to and post plating for good quality workmanship.

• Complies with all related environmental and safety regulations.

• Assists in training of new personnel.

• Keeps informed of new process improvements and or changes.

• Participates in Safety and Quality meetings.

• Looks for more efficient ways to operate plating operations and proposes improvements to supervisor.

• Standardizes measuring equipment and takes care for use of equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

• Needs to use hands and feet to be able to put on Personal Protection Equipment including goggles, boots, and gloves.

• Needs to be able to lift at least 150 lbs. with use of overhead crane.

• Regularly required to be on feet 90% of time.

• Required to wear a respirator which entails hands and proper breathing.

• Regularly uses hand tools and heavy machinery requiring good hand-and-eye coordination, balance, and leg strength.
