Job Responsibilities:
Picking Orders
Read book titles from invoices and arrange them on carts with 3–20 slots.
Walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Push carts that may weigh over 150 lbs.
Breaking Down Orders
Push/pull heavy carts filled with multiple orders.
Move orders to trays, check titles, and transfer stacks (up to 20+ lbs) onto conveyor belts.
Requires twisting, bending, lifting, and reaching.
Boarding
Stand in one place for extended periods while using a foot-powered stapling machine.
Lift up to 10 lbs.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Boxing
Lift and prepare packages for shipment from waist level to the conveyor.
Requires bending and transferring boxes.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Putting Up Carts
Move books from carts to shelves (lifting 10+ lbs per placement).
Involves bending, kneeling, stretching, and occasional ladder use.
Opening Shipments
Lift boxes weighing 25–45 lbs from pallet to cart (floor to shoulder level).
Push loaded carts weighing over 150 lbs for short distances.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to lift 10–50 lbs (and occasionally more) as required by task.
Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and moving for extended periods.
Ability to safely push/pull carts up to 150+ lbs.
Reliable attendance and attention to detail are essential.
