Job Responsibilities:

Picking Orders

• Read book titles from invoices and arrange them on carts with 3–20 slots.

• Walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.

• Push carts that may weigh over 150 lbs.

Breaking Down Orders

• Push/pull heavy carts filled with multiple orders.

• Move orders to trays, check titles, and transfer stacks (up to 20+ lbs) onto conveyor belts.

• Requires twisting, bending, lifting, and reaching.

Boarding

• Stand in one place for extended periods while using a foot-powered stapling machine.

• Lift up to 10 lbs.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Boxing

• Lift and prepare packages for shipment from waist level to the conveyor.

• Requires bending and transferring boxes.

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Putting Up Carts

• Move books from carts to shelves (lifting 10+ lbs per placement).

• Involves bending, kneeling, stretching, and occasional ladder use.

Opening Shipments

• Lift boxes weighing 25–45 lbs from pallet to cart (floor to shoulder level).

• Push loaded carts weighing over 150 lbs for short distances.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.

• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs (and occasionally more) as required by task.

• Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and moving for extended periods.

• Ability to safely push/pull carts up to 150+ lbs.

• Reliable attendance and attention to detail are essential.
