Jaci Carroll Staffing is currently recruiting for Molding Operator Technician III positions for 2nd or 3rd shift. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, with a pay of $20.00/HR. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity in the Thomaston area.
The Molding Operator Technician III position is an important role on the team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. This plant helps produce thousands of dispensing products each day. So, it is important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. The Molding Operator Technician III keeps the equipment operational by setting up, optimizing production runs, and performing quality checks as needed for each machine.
Here is a list of duties that the Molding Operator Technician III performs on a typical day:
Responsible for operating molding machines and perform quality checks as required.
Measure, examine and test molded part units to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions.
Adjust machine or fixtures as necessary.
Responsible for documenting mold change and machine adjustments including troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
Responsible for installing and removing molds and or mold tools.
Maintains mold and equipment through detailed PM Program. Following established procedures to maintain a clean and organization environment.
Work with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements/ make adjustments as needed.
Provides molded components in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
Generates documentation on mold runs for traceability and reproducibility.
Works with quality and manufacturing departments to ensure quality of production and that products meet company standards.
Coordinate repairs with mold shop as needed.
Set up and watering of molds, robots, setting hot manifold controllers, setting grinders and regrind controls.
Enters process sheets.
Conducts first piece inspections.
Performs advanced mold/press maintenance (inspecting, greasing, addressing core and cavity related issues) Troubleshoots machine issues, having the ability to identify root cause and determine corrective actions.
Maintains cycle times.
Possessing advanced troubleshooting capability, solving problems that lack feedback as provided by equipment (i.e. error codes) Programming and troubleshooting of robots.
Interacting with the tool room to resolve mold issues.
Interacting with engineering to address process issues.
Driving continuous improvement strategies and identifying opportunities for cost savings
Training optech I, I, III.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates must have:
Basic shop math/computer skills
Basic machine troubleshooting skills/ability to solve mechanical issues.
Ability to work independently and be proactive.
Ability to analyze, interpret and report data based on machine performance.
Min of high school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.
Preferred Candidates will have:

Ability to prioritize work is essential.
