Requirements
Jaci Carroll Staffing is currently recruiting for an Anodizing OpTech I in Waterbury, CT. This is a 3rd shift position, with training conducted on 1st shift for a minimum of two weeks prior to transitioning. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour during training, increasing to $22.00 per hour once moved to 3rd shift. This position reports to the Value Stream Supervisor.

The Anodizing OpTech I position is an important role on the team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. This plant helps produce thousands of dispensing products each day. So, it is important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. Here is a list of duties that the Anodizing OpTech I performs on a typical day:
Responsibilities:
Responsible to move pallet carts to and from the loading area and the load cell of the process line.
Load and unload pallets from the load cell press to the cart. Repair damaged rack fingers, ongoing, when working at the load cell.
Run the Durr cleaning machine including loading and unloading product from the machine. Staging work to and from the cleaning machine.
Able to operate the lift tables and manual jar cover presses for jar cover processing. Manually moves jar cover racks to and from the presses as they get completed.
May be called upon to load parts onto racks, pallets, or conveyors if need arises.
Pulls process garbage from gaylords at the Durr and the manual loading area and places into their respective dumpsters.
Able to operate the semi and auto jar cover loading machines which includes correcting and resetting errors and crashes.
With lead direction, pulls and returns parts to storage and sets up next loading jobs for the loading platforms. This includes pulling loading boards/pallets to and from storage.
May be asked to build various corrugated box sizes for finished goods, keeping corrugated area clean.
Responsible to keep work areas clean and part free from the floor including empty skids. All floor scrap is to be collected and presented at the end of the shift to Quality for tallying and disposal. May need to mop areas where oil reached the floor surface, e.g. Durr cleaning cell.
The OP Tech 1 may be directed by the shift lead which loading process to work on at various times during the shift. Rotation may be necessary to support the production plan.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates must have:
Basic shop math/computer skills.
Basic machine troubleshooting skills/ability to solve mechanical issues.
Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs.
Ability to work independently and be proactive.
Ability to analyze, interpret and report data based on machine performance.
Min of High School Diploma or GED Required.
Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.
Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided):
Lifting is required frequently throughout the shift. Must be able to lift boxes that weigh 15 pounds, racks that weigh 25 pounds.
Must be able to carry and maneuver 35 pound boards/pallets to and from the load cell press and in the board/pallet storage.
Other physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling & pushing, stooping & crouching, grasping, reaching, speaking, and listening.
