Jaci Carroll Staffing is recruiting for a Plant Manager for a well established manufacturer in the Naugatuck Valley area. This is a direct hire position that will report to the general manager. Hours will be Mon-Fri from 7am-4pm, with some weekends required depending on need. Pay will be $100k-$120k depending on experience, along with a full benefit package upon hire (medical, dental, vision, 401k, profit sharing, PTO, and merit based bonuses). The Plant Manager will supervise all aspects of the manufacturing process, facility maintenance, inventory and transportation. Duties include:

  • Focus on exceeding customer and company requirements for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Preventative Maintenance.


  • Oversee the Safety Coordinator, Transportation Manager, Production Coordinator, and Production Supervisor(s) with respect to production volume, cost, quality and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.

  • Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods and elimination of wasteful practices.

  • Works closely with other departments to assure proper and correct levels of finished goods and raw material inventories.

  • Encourages maximum efficiency and productivity of supervisors and production workers

  • Coordinates with other departments to establish both short term and long term production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize production capabilities

  • Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety standards and day to day practices.

  • Recommends the hiring and releasing of production personnel as required to maintain production schedule and efficiency.

  • Schedules overtime as required.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory and/or management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Management preferred. A combination of education and experience suitable to effectively complete duties and responsibilities will be considered.

  • Must possess or have the ability to gain  OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification

  • Lead by example by demonstrating a strong work ethic and willingness to support the manufacturing operation, even after hours when necessary

  • Hands on experience in plant maintenance, troubleshooting and repair

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects on time and within budgetary constraints
