Now Hiring: 1st shift QA Inspector | Waterbury, CT

We're looking for a detail-oriented 1st Shift QA Inspector for a temp-to-hire position in the Waterbury area, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.

Job Description:

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.

• Compare products against engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.

• Identify, document, and communicate defects or nonconforming material.

• Complete inspection reports, check sheets, and other quality documentation accurately.

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.

• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.

• Work closely with production personnel to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

• Maintain calibration and proper use of inspection equipment.

• Follow company safety, quality, and production procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized inspection/work area.

• Support continuous-improvement and quality-assurance activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.

• Basic computer and documentation skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with production and quality teams.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a manufacturing environment.
