Precision Assembler
Location: Torrington, CT
Shift: 2nd Shift Only
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Pay: $18.00/hour
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview
We are seeking a Precision Assembler to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position involves assembling standard and high-precision products, working with sensitive components, and using various measuring and testing equipment to maintain strict quality and tolerance requirements.
Candidates must be flexible and willing to train on 1st shift for approximately 4 months, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, before transitioning to the regular 2nd shift schedule.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR)
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Good manual dexterity and steady hands for handling sensitive components
Ability to work in a clean room environment, including wearing full clean room garments for extended periods
Ability to read and obtain relevant information from blueprints
Ability to use measuring equipment and understand basic sizes and tolerances
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable attendance is essential
Key Responsibilities
Match and assemble standard products according to specifications and routing instructions
Select and match the correct component sizes, including inners, outers, and balls
Assemble higher-precision products in a clean room environment
Perform precision assembly operations, including:
Set-ups
Weighted greasing
Oil plating
Noise testing
Vacuum bagging
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment
Making corrections, adjustments, and minor repairs as needed Operate assembly equipment and perform related tasks such as greasing, capping, sealing, bagging, and packing
Use various measuring and inspection devices to maintain proper sizes and tolerances
