About the Position

Commercial Credit Analyst

Full-Time | Commercial Banking


A well-established financial institution is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to support complex commercial lending activities and commercial borrower relationships, conduct appraisal review, train credit analysts and assist in special projects. This role is responsible for analyzing commercial credit requests, evaluating financial risk, and assisting lenders with commercial loan portfolio management.


The ideal candidate will have strong commercial credit experience, excellent financial analysis abilities, and the communication skills necessary to work directly with clients and internal leadership regarding sensitive and confidential financial information.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze commercial loan requests, renewals, and annual relationship reviews.

  • Spread and review business, corporate, and personal financial statements.

  • Evaluate borrower cash flow, collateral, financial trends, and overall credit risk.

  • Prepare concise written credit analyses and risk recommendations for lending and executive teams.

  • Assist with administration and monitoring of commercial borrowing relationships.

  • Support compliance initiatives, policy updates, portfolio reviews, and credit administration projects.

  • Manage workflow through banking systems and maintain accurate reporting documentation.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, and management regarding financial information and credit matters.


Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of commercial credit analysis or commercial banking experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred.

  • Strong understanding of commercial financial statements and commercial lending practices.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

  • Strong written communication and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to exercise professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential information.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Approximately $60,000–$91,000 annually, depending on experience.
