Assistant Store Manager

Salary: $50,000 – $75,000 DOE

Schedule: Retail schedule including weekends

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Prep, planning, merchandising, and operational support typically occur Monday through Thursday.        

Due to continued business growth and expansion, a Connecticut based, high-volume retail operation is seeking a hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, team leadership, merchandising, and customer experience. This individual will work closely with the Store Manager to help maintain organization, oversee floor operations, and support a fast-paced retail environment with high product turnover and strong weekend traffic.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail leadership experience looking to grow into a larger management role within a dynamic and fashion-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily store operations including opening and closing procedures

• Support supervision of store associates and maintain strong floor coverage

• Help oversee merchandising, visual presentation, and overall store organization

• Work directly on the sales floor assisting customers and supporting staff

• Coordinate restocking, product flow, and weekly preparation activities

• Maintain structure and organization during busy weekend traffic

• Help coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable

• Collaborate closely with Store Manager to improve operational efficiency and customer experience

• Support inventory organization and merchandising adjustments as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of retail leadership experience preferred

• Keyholder, Shift Lead, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager experience accepted

• Strong interest in fashion, merchandising, and retail operations

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Reliable, hands-on, and team-oriented mindset

• Ability to work weekends and flexible retail hours

• Experience in warehouse-style, outlet, discount, or off-price retail environments a plus
