Retail Store Manager

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 DOE

Schedule: Retail schedule including weekends

Employment Type: Direct Hire


Due to continued business growth and expansion, a Connecticut based, high-volume retail operation is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations, strengthen team performance, and elevate the overall customer experience.

This role is ideal for a hands-on retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands apparel retail, and knows how to build an organized, customer-focused culture. The Store Manager will play a key role in maintaining strong customer satisfaction, improving the consumer experience, and helping develop a high-performing retail team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day store operations for a single retail location.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 employees.

  • Assist with employee training, onboarding, and potentially hiring activities.

  • Maintain strong merchandising standards and product presentation.

  • Ensure a positive, organized, and engaging shopping experience for customers.

  • Manage scheduling, floor execution, store opening/closing, and operational accountability.

  • Monitor customer traffic flow and floor organization during high-volume periods.

  • Build a strong, accountable, team-oriented culture through active floor leadership.

  • Collaborate with leadership on operational improvements and continued store growth.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of retail management experience required.

  • A good eye for presentation and passion for fashion.

  • Previous experience within the apparel retail industry strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading teams in high-volume retail environments.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Hands-on management style with strong floor presence.

  • Ability to motivate, train, and build successful retail teams.

  • Bilingual Spanish skills are helpful..

  • Experience in warehouse-style, outlet, discount, or off-price retail environments is a plus.
