About the Position
Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Pay: $24.00–$26.00/hour DOE
A professional and growing company in Waterbury is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Assistant to support daily accounting and finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with bookkeeping or accounting support experience looking to grow within a stable organization.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process payments, deposits, and financial transactions.
Reconcile invoices, statements, and expense reports.
Support invoicing and billing functions.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Assist with monthly accounting reporting and adjustments.
Communicate with vendors and internal staff regarding accounting questions.
Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
Qualifications:
Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience preferred.
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
