Requirements
We are recruiting for an Assembler position for a client in the Greater Waterbury area. This is a contract to hire position on the 1st shift with a starting pay of $15.00/hr. This position requires the assembly of electro-mechanical products by working from various manufacturing blueprints, as well as prepare sub-assemblies, final assemblies and after assemblies in their entirety.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Assemble individual products as required.
Manually hold and manipulate parts and products to complete work.
Wash in solution, pressure test and repair assembled products by hand.
Perform alignment or adjustments to reach required specifications of work order.
Report defects, scrap, and/or production problems immediately to Cell Leader and/or Supervisor.
Maintain production and quality standards including before, during and after production quality checks.
Cross-train and work in other operational areas, including but not limited to deburring, stockroom, and packaging.
Prepare finished work for shipment or storage as instructed. Adhere to inventory and floor stock maintenance guidelines.
Use computer to access software to obtain prints and verify ship date, routers, and bill of material, and other necessary information.
Work under general direction of the department supervisor and/or cell leader with minimum supervision.
Must have a highs school diploma or general education degree along with 1-3 years manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts and be able to read the required blueprints.
